‘Bystander’ awarded in Ukraine

Iranian short animated film ‘Bystander’ directed by Sheyda Kashi has won the Best Short Animation award at the 3rd Cinemaway Film Festival in Ukraine.

Sheyda Kashi’s animated piece won the award at the third edition of the Ukrainian film festival that was held last week in the city of Lviv, western Ukraine.

The 8-minute animation has been previously screened at the Short to the Point Film Festival in Romania, the Banjaluka Film Festival in Bosnia, the 9th edition of the Iran Independent Animation Celebration and the 4th edition of the Tehran Animation Festival.

'Bystander' crew includes Saloumeh Golnaraqi (background), Bita Aliabadi (character design), Azad Sadeqi (rig), Shahryar Biranvand (animation), Hamid Pakdel (sound) and Nima Javidi (dubbing).

Cinemaway is a Ukranian film and media festival, dedicated to media and visual culture.

The event is organized in three sections, including creative workshop, movie forum and film competition.

The 3rd edition of Cinemaway Film Festival took place on November 1-4, 2017, in Ukrainian city of Liviv.
